iSeries

The BSI server program is comprised of several C programs that are based on the features you have purchased. To calculate taxes, bind these server programs to your payroll system and call the TaxFactory API (Application Program Interface).

Note: The TF10 or desired 10 library may need to be added to your payroll process library. The current cyclic version of TF400SRV need to be included in this library. The iSeries version of TaxFactory uses embedded SQL to access your database.

Installing the iSeries Server

Note: You may use the following command to reclaim storage from a table on the iSeries:
RGZPFM(*your library name*/*file name*)

To Link the TaxFactory Library, perform the following steps:

Step 1-- Include BSI Header Files/Copybooks

Step 2 -- Statically Link TaxFactory Library to your Payroll System

Step 3 -- Connect to the Database/Dataset

Step 4a. -- Call The Calculation Function

Step 4b -- Call the Import Function

Step 4c - Call the Pension Calculation Function

Step 4d - Call the Pension Import Function

Step 4e -- Call the Locator Function

Step 5 -- Disconnect from the Database
