Third Party Configuration

Use the following configuration items to connect your Human Resources (HR) system to TaxProfileFactory™ in order to import and export data.

Lawson

Source System for Import: Lawson

Destination System for Export: Lawson

Note: For Lawson, testing connections during the Customer Setup Wizard phase and at the Dataset and Company levels tests for connectivity between TaxProfileFactory to the Third Party system. The Test Connection feature does not  verify that the export to HR/Payroll system is successful.

1. Enter the following values for the Source System for Import and/or the Destination System for Export:

1. • Product Line

     Type the product line (specific data schema) within the database to which you want to connect. Maximum 100 characters.

   • User Name

     Type the user name required to connect to Lawson's HR system. Maximum 100 characters.

   • Password

     Type the password required to connect to Lawson's HR system. Maximum 25 characters.

   • AGS

     Type the external Application Gateway Service (AGS) URL that will be used to upload data to Lawson's HR system. Maximum of 100 characters.

   • DME

     Type the Data Mining Engine (DME) URL that will be used to read data from Lawson's HR system. Maximum of 100 characters.

   • Max Records

     Type the maximum number of records allowed in a data pack. This value will affect the performance of the data retrieved from Lawson's system. Valid values are 1-9999.

2. Click Test Connection to be sure the desired URL is connecting properly.

3. If the test is not successful, click Reset prior to saving your changes. This will return the configuration values to the values displayed before changes were made.

4. If the Test Connection is successful, click Save Changes to apply your changes.

SAP Cloud

Source System for Import: SAP Cloud

Destination System for Export: SAP Cloud

Note:  For SAP Cloud, testing connections during the Customer Setup Wizard phase and at the Dataset and Company levels tests for connectivity between TaxProfileFactory to the Third Party system. The Test Connection feature does not  verify that the export to HR/Payroll system is successful.

1. Enter the following values for the Source System for Import and/or the Destination System for Export:

1. • Integration Type

     Select the Integration Type.

     • JCo– Available to both SAP and SAP Cloud customers

     • Web Services– Available to SAP Cloud customers only.

   • Application Server

     Type the application server name where the SAP software and database is installed. Maximum 100 characters.

   • Port Number - For use with Web Services integration type.

     This field is required when integration type is Web Services. Type the SAP port number. Valid values are 1 - 65535. The port number along with the application server identifies the location of the SAP web services. Port number 443 can be used if the customer does not have a port number

   • System Number - For use with JCo integration type.

     This field is required when integration type is JCo. Type the SAP system number. Maximum two characters allowed. The system number along with the application server identifies the JCo connection.

   • Client

     Type the SAP client number. Maximum three characters.

   • User

     Type the user name required to connect to SAP's HR system. Maximum 100 characters.

   • Password

     Type the password required to connect to SAP's HR system. Maximum 25 characters.

   • Language

     Select the desired language preference. Currently there is only one value available, 'EN' for English.

   • Max Records

     Type the maximum number of records allowed in a data pack. This value will affect the performance of the data retrieved from SAP's system. Valid values are 1-9999.

2. Click Test Connection to be sure the desired URL is connecting properly.

3. If the test is not successful, click Reset prior to saving your changes. This will return the configuration values to the values displayed before changes were made.

4. If the Test Connection is successful, click Save Changes to apply your changes.

Workday

Source System for Import: Workday

Destination System for Export: Workday

Note: For Workday, testing connections during the Customer Setup Wizard phase and at the Dataset and Company levels tests for connectivity between TaxProfileFactory to the Third Party system. The Company level also verifies that the company exists based on the Company ID and verifies the import process functions correctly. The Test Connection feature does not  verify that the export to HR/Payroll system is successful.

1. Enter the following values for the Source System for Import and/or the Destination System for Export:

1. • Web Service URL

     Type the URL of the Workday web service used to integrate TaxProfileFactory and Workday. Maximum 256 characters allowed in a valid URL pattern.

   • Tenant

     Type the instance name that represents where Workday's data resides. The tenant is assigned by Workday. Maximum 25 characters allowed (alphanumeric with special characters).

   • Version

     Type the Workday system version supported by BSI Workday integration. The version is assigned by BSI. Maximum five characters allowed (alphanumeric).

   • Company ID Type

     Select the Workday company identification (ID) type. The company ID type is assigned by Workday and used to test Third Party connectivity at the Company level.

   • Company ID

     Type the Workday company identification (ID) linked to the FEIN. The company ID is assigned by Workday and used to test Third Party connectivity at the Company level. Maximum 256 characters allowed (alphanumeric with special characters).

   • User Name

     Type the user name required to connect to Workday's HR system. Maximum 100 characters allowed.

   • Password

     Type the password required to connect to Workday's HR system. Maximum 25 characters allowed.

   • Max Records

     Type the maximum number of records allowed in a data pack. This value will affect the performance of the data retrieved from Workday's system. Valid values are 1-9999.

2. Click Test Connection to be sure the desired URL is connecting properly.

3. If the test is not successful, click Reset prior to saving your changes. This will return the configuration values to the values displayed before changes were made.

4. If the Test Connection is successful, click Save Changes to apply your changes.

ADP

Destination System for Export: ADP

When ADP is selected as the HR/Payroll Destination System, Third Party Data Transfer Configuration is required.

Note: For ADP, testing connections during the Customer Setup Wizard phase and at the Dataset and Company levels tests for connectivity between TaxProfileFactory to the Third Party system. The Company level also verifies that the company exists based on the Company ID. The Test Connection feature does not verify that the export to HR/Payroll system is successful.

1. Enter the following values in the Data Transfer Configuration section for the Destination System for Export:

1. • FTP Host Name

     Type the FTP host name. Maximum 250 characters allowed (alphanumeric with special characters).

   • FTP Port Number

     Type the FTP port number. The valid values are 1-65535.

   • FTP User Name

     Type the FTP user name. Maximum 50 characters allowed (alphanumeric with special characters).

   • FTP Password

     Type the customer’s FTP password. Maximum 50 characters allowed.

   • FTP Path

     Type the FTP destination location. Maximum 250 characters allowed (alphanumeric with special characters).

   • FTP Filename

     Type the FTP filename. Maximum 250 characters allowed (alphanumeric with special characters).

   • PGP Encryption Key

     Type the encryption key for encrypting the FTP file transmitted to ADP. Maximum 250 characters (alphanumeric with special characters).

   • Max Records

     Type the maximum number of records allowed in a data pack (valid values 1-9999).

2. Click Test Connection to be sure the desired URL is connecting properly.

3. If the test is not successful, click Reset prior to saving your changes.

4. If the Test Connection is successful, click Save Changes to apply your changes.

Tesseract

Destination System for Export: Tesseract

When Tesseract is selected as the HR/Payroll Destination System, Third Party Data Transfer Configuration is required.

Note: For Tesseract, testing connections during the Customer Setup Wizard phase and at the Dataset and Company levels tests for connectivity between TaxProfileFactory to the Third Party system. The Company level also verifies that the company exists based on the Company ID. The Test Connection feature does not verify that the export to HR/Payroll system is successful.

1. Enter the following values in the Data Transfer Configuration section for the Destination System for Export.

1. • FTP Host Name

     Type the FTP host name. Maximum 250 characters allowed (alphanumeric with special characters).

   • FTP Port Number

     Type the FTP port number. The valid values are 1-65535.

   • FTP User Name

     Type the FTP user name. Maximum 50 characters allowed (alphanumeric with special characters).

   • FTP Password

     Type the customer’s FTP password. Maximum 50 characters allowed.

   • FTP Path

     Type the FTP destination location. Maximum 250 characters allowed (alphanumeric with special characters).

   • FTP Filename

     Type the FTP filename. Maximum 250 characters allowed (alphanumeric with special characters).

   • PGP Encryption Key

     Type the encryption key for encrypting the FTP file transmitted to Tesseract. Maximum 250 characters (alphanumeric with special characters).

   • Max Records

     Type the maximum number of records allowed in a data pack (valid values 1-9999).

2. Click Test Connection to be sure the desired URL is connecting properly.

3. If the test is not successful, click Reset prior to saving your changes.

4. If the Test Connection is successful, click Save Changes to apply your changes.

Export Configuration

Use this section to determine when the approved data currently in the database will be exported.

Tip: Click Export Configuration to collapse or expand the section.

Important Note: Depending on your companies configuration settings, the features described below may or may not be available for use by your company.  

1. In the Export Configuration section, select the desired option.

• Manual

  Manual provides the ability to export employee data to the external system on demand. It is the default and is used if Scheduled is not selected.

  Note: Tesseract only allows one export per day.

  1. From the Data Export Method list box, select Manual.

  2. Click Save Changes.

• Scheduled

  When Scheduled  is selected, the data transfer will take place at a specific or preset time.

  Note: Tesseract only allows one export per day.

  1. From the Data Export Method list box, select Scheduled.

  2. From the Scheduled Frequency list box, select the desired frequency. Valid values are:

  1. • Daily

       Data will be transferred once daily at the transfer start time indicated below.

     • Weekly

       Select the days of the week you want to transfer data. Data will be transferred once daily at the transfer start time indicated below.

  3. Select the Transfer Start Date.

  4. Type the Transfer Start Time hour and minute with either before (AM) or after (PM) Noon.

  Note: The default start time is Noon in the configured time zone.

  5. Click Save Changes.

• Real Time

  When Real Time is selected, as soon as the data is entered in the system, submitted and approved, it is exported.

  From the Data Export Method list box, select Real Time.

2. If you change your mind about your selection, click Reset prior to saving your changes. This will return the configuration value to the value displayed before changes were made.

3. Click Save Changes to apply your changes.
